75 years ... Wow!
It was in 1948, after graduating from Polytechnique Montréal, that my father, Laurent Gendron, decided to launch Canada’s very first rebar company.
With great determination, he managed to put together teams of proud builders at the forefront of developing modern-day Quebec: the St. Lawrence Seaway, Place des Arts, Expo 67, Complexe Desjardins, the Montreal metro, the Olympic Stadium, and the list goes on.
Laurent even supplied and installed the rebar for the Churchill Falls hydroelectric project in Labrador in 1968.
Today, customers, partners, suppliers and almost 2,500 employees make up our great big family, and to them I offer my heartfelt thanks.
You are contributing to the growth of a 100% Quebec-owned company with more than 25 business units worldwide and tens of thousands of projects under its belt.
Here’s to many more years of success in this wonderful adventure.

Velada del 2 de noviembre – 75 años de historia
Ya 75 años…
Fue en 1948, al finalizar sus estudios en la Universidad Politécnica de Montreal, que mi padre, Laurent Gendron, decidió construir la primera empresa de acero de refuerzo en Canadá.
Con gran determinación, logró formar equipos de orgullosos constructores que estuvieron a la vanguardia del auge del Quebec moderno: vía marítima del San Lorenzo, Place des Arts, Expo 67, Complexe Desjardins, metro de Montreal, estadio olímpico, y la lista continúa.
Laurent llegó incluso a suministrar e instalar el acero de refuerzo para el proyecto Churchill Falls, en Labrador en 1968.
Hoy quiero expresar mi más sincero agradecimiento a todos nuestros clientes, socios, proveedores y a los casi 2500 empleados que forman parte de nuestra gran familia.
Contribuyen al crecimiento de una empresa 100% quebequense con más de 25 unidades de negocios en todo el mundo y decenas de miles de proyectos en su haber.
