On Thursday, February 1, 2018, George Stougiannos (director of legal affairs) and I had the pleasure of meeting with the AGF Access team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Our main aim was to tell them about the AGF Group Foundation. We also wanted to establish ties with this team in the Maritimes. We do not have many opportunities to spend time with them, given the distance between our two business units.
They gave us such a warm welcome! I was struck by their heartfelt generosity and how they made us feel at home right away. We discussed social involvement and remarked that the local culture encourages individual actions.
With the Foundation, we hope to structure this involvement a little more so that people can use it to make a difference wherever they want. We already had an opportunity to help a cause dear to Wayne’s heart and welcomed Stephen to the ambassadors’ team.
We hope this meeting was just the first of many.

- Dartmouth generates 4 times the number of invoices as the next closest location do the high volume of daily rentals. As they have sold 4 school buses in the past and completely wrapped one of the submarines the Canadian Navy owns with scaffolding.
El jueves primero de febrero de 2018, tuve el placer de asistir con George Stougiannos (Director de Asuntos Jurídicos) a la reunión del equipo de AGF Access de Dartmouth, Nueva Escocia. Nuestro objetivo principal era hablarles de la Fundación Grupo AGF. También deseábamos crear un lazo con este equipo de las Provincias Marítimas, al cual no tenemos la suerte de ver con frecuencia, debido a la lejanía geográfica de nuestras dos unidades de negocios.
¡Qué recibimiento! Quedé impactada por la gran generosidad de estas personas, quienes rápidamente nos hicieron un lugar entre ellos. Hablamos de entrega social y constatamos que la cultura local promueve la implicación individual de las personas. Con la Fundación, deseamos estructurar un poco más esta implicación y permitirle más a la gente del lugar utilizarla para hacer una diferencia en donde lo deseen. De hecho, ¡vimos una oportunidad de ayudar una causa preciada para Wayne! Y recibimos a Stephen con entusiasmo en el equipo de embajadores.
Esperamos que esta reunión haya sido solamente la primera de una gran historia.
