AGF Access now an approved IPAF training centre

I'm pleased to announce that AGF Access (Ontario, Michigan and Atlantic Canada) is now an approved training centre through the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF).

What is IPAF?

IPAF promotes the safe and effective use of powered access equipment worldwide. Established in 1983, IPAF is a not-for-profit members' organization that represents the interests of manufacturers, distributors, users, and rental and training companies. IPAF plays a key role in promoting many of the design, safety and testing procedures that are now established in the powered access industry. It is a key stakeholder in influencing legislation and standards, through its safety initiatives. IPAF has also developed industry leading training and best practices for aerial work platforms and mast climbers.

Why join IPAF?

SAFETY – Safety is a core value at AGF Access, and I am personally committed to doing what I can to ensure the safe operation of our equipment. I want AGF Access to provide the best training in the industry to help ensure our employees and customers return home unharmed each day.

REVENUES – We are the newest of only four training centres in Canada, another being a sister company, Hydro Mobile. The opportunity to acquire training revenues is significant.

PRODUCTIVITY – I believe the IPAF training will provide operators with improved skills to safely and effectively operate our equipment on the jobsite, which means fewer repairs required, quicker turnaround and more rentals.

MARKET SHARE – We will work with our sales and marketing team to develop strategies to market training as a value-added service and build flexible price plans for customers who rent our equipment.

What does this mean for AGF Access?

As a result, we will be providing industry-leading training and best practices for aerial work platforms to our customers.
