AGF Steel Longueuil gets a new contract

On behalf of AGF Steel Longueuil, I am proud to announce we recently obtained the contract for the construction of block D at the new Hospital of the University of Montreal (CHUM).

Block D, which represents approximately 8,000 tonnes of steel, will be in the form of a 20-storey tower.

Construction should begin in April 2011, for completion in October 2013.

Block D is in addition to the contract for block B-1, construction of reinforced concrete diaphragm walls and several other preliminary projects at the new CHUM.

About CHUM
The Hospital of the University of Montreal is the largest teaching hospital in French-speaking North America. It annually treats more than half a million patients from the greater Montreal area, but also elsewhere in Quebec. Rich in history, the CHUM is looking to the future with the ongoing construction of future facilities and its research center in downtown Montreal, a global project of nearly $ 2.5 billion on a single site. From 2013, the CHUM Research Centre will open its doors. It will be followed in 2016 by the opening of the new CHUM, a teaching hospital fully functional class of 772 beds with completion scheduled for 2019.
