Al Sharafi Babich Steel LLC secures the supply of cut and bent reinforcement, as Samsung wins a US$2.47 billion project to construct a carbon black delayed coke plant in Abu Dhabi.

ASBS have secured their largest individual contract since the company was established in 2009 and will supply Samsung direct to the project in the Western region of Abu Dhabi. ASBS are based in the industrial area of Abu Dhabi city which is approximately 450 kilometres from the site.

28,000 tonnes of cut and bent will be supplied over a programme of 18 months. Mark Ireland, ASBS General Manager, stated that the value of the supply contract to us is approximately US$18.6 M and will be supplied over 14 – 16 months starting in February 2013.
