REM stands for Réseau express métropolitain de Montréal, a new light-rail transit network. In a few years’ time, it will include 26 stations that are universally accessible and will span Greater Montreal with 67 km of track. By comparison, Montreal’s metro network is 71 km long. Work began in January 2020 and should continue until the end of the year.
The REM will be in service 20 hours a day and will connect with the metro at three stations (Bonaventure, McGill, Édouard-Montpetit). The line will be 100% electric and will connect downtown Montreal with the airport, which are definite advantages.
Since August 5, 2020, the Édouard Montpetit station has been gradually taking shape, and AGF is working daily to build the rebar structure for this project, which represents about 143 MT of steel. Are you looking forward to getting on board?

¿Qué es la REM?
La REM es la red metropolitana exprés de Montreal. Se trata de un nuevo medio de transporte como el tren ligero. Dentro de algunos años, contará con 26 estaciones accesibles a todos y atravesará la gran región de Montreal por 67 km. En comparación, la red del metro actual de Montreal representa 71 km. La obra inició en el mes de enero de 2020 y debería de continuar hasta finales de este año.
La REM será un servicio ofrecido veinte horas por día con tres conexiones en el metro (Bonaventure, McGill, Édouard Montpetit). La línea será 100% eléctrica y establecerá el enlace entre el centro de Montreal y el aeropuerto… verdaderas ventajas.
