I am pleased to share news about our 2017 Golf Tournament.
This year we had 42 golfers participating and we raised over $7000. The final number is to be determined shortly.
We chose to support two important causes this year. Leucan - which is an organisation located in Gatineau that help families deal with children going through Cancer - and The Royal Ottawa Hospital Mental Health Care Research program.
Just like last year, we had many interesting games included in our tournament and they were enjoyed by all. I would like to thank the Organizing Committee (Shannon, Terri-Ann, Chris, Christian and Phil) for all their hard work and efforts. A special thanks to our Manager Christian for going after and getting Sponsors. Also, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our volunteers. Carol, Megan, Laurie-Ann and Carissa.
We had a very hot day (40 degrees Celsius with Humidity index) but spirits were high and the great mood contagious. AGF Ottawa would like to recognize all the support we received from our extended AGF Family from Longueuil.
We hope you enjoyed yourselves and plan to come again next year. This tournament is still in its infancy and we appreciate any comments/advice from anyone that was there. We only want to make this event better every year and leave people thinking that they want to circle the date for next year's tournament.

Me alegra compartirle las noticias de nuestro Torneo de Golf 2017. Este año, participaron 42 jugadores en el torneo y recaudamos más de 7000 CAD. La cifra total será determinada dentro de poco.
Este año, decidimos apoyar dos importantes causas. Leucan, una organización ubicada en Gatineau que ayuda a las familias con niños que padecen de cáncer, y el programa de investigación del hospital psiquiátrico de Ottawa, The Royal.
Igual que el año pasado, tuvimos muchos juegos interesantes en nuestro torneo, los cuales todos disfrutaron. Quiero agradecerle al Comité de Organización (Shannon, Terri-Ann, Chris, Christian y Phil) por su trabajo arduo y sus esfuerzos. Gracias especialmente a nuestro Gerente Christian por buscar y obtener patrocinadores. También quiero tomar esta oportunidad para agradecerle a nuestras voluntarias Carol, Megan, Laurie-Ann y Carissa.
El día fue muy caliente (40 oC con el índice de humedad) pero la atmósfera estaba animada y el buen humor era contagioso. AGF Ottawa quisiera agradecer todo el apoyo que recibimos de nuestra familia extendida AGF de Longueuil.
Esperamos que se hayan divertido y que planeen regresar el año entrante. Este torneo todavía está en pañales y apreciamos todos los comentarios y consejos de todos los que asistieron. Lo único que deseamos es mejorar este evento cada año y que la gente se quede pensando en marcar la fecha en el calendario para el torneo del año siguiente.
