Since this year marks the 20th anniversary of our new President, Maxime Gendron, at AGF, this month's selected question is:

What is your best memory in your 20-year career at AGF?

Since I joined AGF 20 years ago, I have countless fond memories, so it's hard for me to choose just one.

Of course, I think about my first day in the company in 2003, when I was warmly welcomed by Patrick Farley (now Vice President, Major Projects, Risk Management, and Contracts). He immediately shared his experience with passion with me.
I also remember my first site visit to the Grand-Mère hydroelectric dam, accompanied by Jean-Guy Loubert. It was truly impressive to see the scale of that project and the dedication of our teams on the field.

I also have excellent memories from the time I conducted site inspections, including for the structures of Highway 25 connecting Laval to Montreal. In the morning, I would work alongside our steel placers, and in the afternoon, I would relay the information to the shop and to our technical team in preparation for the next day. Being present every day with all our employees brought me a lot of satisfaction, knowledge, and fun.

I also cherish the warm welcome I received from my new colleagues when I temporarily moved to Ontario with my family to take over the operations of AGF Rebar. Thanks to them, I felt at home from the very beginning.

And finally, I felt a great sense of pride when I saw my son Thomas take his first steps in the world of reinforcing steel. For two summers, he worked at AGF in Longueuil and Scarborough, focusing on health and safety as well as optimizing our steel scrap management. It's rewarding to see his interest in our profession.

There are certainly many other memorable moments, and I couldn't name them all. With the team we have and the projects we're involved in, I'm confident that my upcoming years of career within our wonderful family business will be filled with equally unforgettable moments.
