Jules Paulin, General Manager of AGF Olympic, our Caraquet division, is proud to announce that they will be working from 2022 on the Coles Island Bridge replacement project.

The Coles Island Bridge will be rebuilt and widened to two lanes, bringing it up to construction industry standards on vehicle weights while improving traffic fluidity. In addition, it will allow for increased truck payloads, resulting in fewer trips and a reduction of GHG emissions.

The AGF Olympic team will pre-assemble the caissons for the pillars at the shop and then build the slab of the bridge at the jobsite. Two types of steel will be used for the project: 420 tons of black steel and 156 tons of stainless steel.

El puente se reconstruirá y ampliará a dos vías, lo que permitirá ajustarlo a las normas de la industria de la construcción con relación al peso de los vehículos, y mejorar el flujo de la circulación. La industria de la construcción es un importante sector de actividades en la provincia.

El equipo de AGF Olympic se encargará de realizar en la fábrica el preensamblado de los casetones para las columnas y después realizará en la obra la losa del puente. Se utilizarán dos tipos de acero para el proyecto: 420 t de acero negro y 156 t de acero inoxidable.
