Established in 1986, the Family Enterprise of the Year Award is presented annually by Family Enterprise Canada to recognize, celebrate and promote the achievements of Canadian family businesses and the significant contribution they make to their local communities and the national economy.
On November 25, 2021, Enterprise Canada held an awards ceremony with the Quebec finalists in their competition.
The Laflamme family (Southshore Industries Ltd.) and the Brunet family (Ed Brunet and Associates Canada Inc.) were on hand for the event.
Representatives from each family had the opportunity to speak during a panel to present their company's journey, their vision and what sets them apart.

Lastly, the big winner was announced once the speeches were over. It was with great pride and emotion that Serge, Maxime and Catherine Gendron accepted the Family Enterprise of the Year Award on behalf of all AGF Group employees.

Family Enterprise Canada otorga cada año el premio a la empresa familiar del año, creado en 1986, para reconocer, celebrar y promover las realizaciones de las empresas familiares canadienses y las importantes contribuciones que hacen a sus comunidades locales y a la economía nacional.
El 25 de noviembre de 2021, Family Enterprise Canada organizó una ceremonia para la entrega de premios con los finalistas del concurso de la provincia de Quebec.
Las familias Laflamme (Southshore Industries Ltd.) y Brunet (Ed Brunet and Associates Canada Inc.) estaban presentes.
