In 1982, during the first televised improv match on Radio Québec, Michel Rivard said: “Les jeunes, lâchez la drogue et improvisez !” [Hey kids, don’t do drugs – do improv!].
The very next morning, the Ligue Nationale d’improvisation (LNI) was flooded with inquiries from schools and youth centres, and it heeded the call. Ever since, it has been involved in the community, not only across Quebec but in Ontario, Newfoundland and Labrador, and British Columbia.
The LNI needs help to continue reaching more than 20,000 young people every year, at school and through organizations and theatre groups. The AGF Foundation decided to lend a hand by buying two tickets for their annual benefit event this year, which took place November 9.
A draw was held for AGF Access employees in Montreal. The winner, Kevin Shank Normandin, and his wife, Camille, enjoyed a gourmet meal and a hilarious evening of entertainment.
En 1982, durante el primer encuentro de improvisación televisado de Radio Quebec, Michel Rivard comentó en la televisión: “A todos los jóvenes: ¡dejen la droga e improvisen!”. Desde la mañana siguiente, la Liga Nacional de Improvisación (LNI) estuvo inundada de llamadas de escuelas y de centros para la juventud. La LNI respondió a la llamada y desde ese día se implica en la comunidad en todo Quebec y también en Ontario, Terranova y Labrador y en Colombia Británica.
Para seguir reuniendo anualmente casi 20 000 jóvenes en las escuelas, los organismos y otras actividades teatrales, la LNI necesita ayuda. La Fundación AGF decidió ayudarlos adquiriendo dos boletos para la cena de recaudación de fondos de este año, la cual se realizó el pasado 9 de noviembre.
Se realizó un sorteo entre los empleados de AGF Accès Montreal. El ganador, Kevin Shank Normandin, disfrutó con su cónyuge Camille de una cena gastronómica y de un espectáculo muy entretenido.
