New Contract for Armature Sherbrooke

Armature Sherbrooke is proud to announce that the company obtained the contract for the extension of Highway 410 in Sherbrooke, in the Bel-Horizon sector. The reinforcing steel works will require more than 430 tons for the construction of two bridges and one culvert. The construction should start during the month of April, to end in October 2014. The client is a consortium of partners comprising Toulouse Excavation and Coffrage Provincial.

The works are part of phase 1 of the extension of Highway 410 on a distance of 9 km. We are presently completing the supply and installation of reinforcing steel for the construction of a bridge in the Belvédère sector. The Highway 410 extension project is divided in two phases, including the construction of a bypass to solve traffic fluidity problems apparent in Sherbrooke’s southern periphery. The phase 2 works, on a distance of 4 km, should start in 2015.

Armature Sherbrooke’s involvement in the construction of the Highway 410 extension started in 2005, with a supplying and installation contract for the construction of a viaduct over Université Boulevard, with Couillard Construction as client. Since that first contract, Armature Sherbrooke has completed, for several clients, all the bridges and structures of the Highway 410 extension.

Let us wish for as much success with the second phase of the project!
