Did you know that we all have a role to play in welcoming and integrating new employees?

Starting a new job in a new company is intimidating for everyone. Whether the new employee is a recent graduate or a manager, change is always a bit scary.

We do not want to put pressure on new employees even before they start. Greeting them with a friendly smile is the first thing we can do to help them feel more at ease. 

When you get involved in integrating your colleagues, it not only ensures they will be more autonomous but it also contributes to achieving the following objectives: 

• It encourages social integration;  
• It helps new employees develop a sense of belonging; 
• It demonstrates the support the company provides to help them adapt.

How can you help a new colleague settle in?

• Think about having a team dinner;
• Invite them to eat with you in the cafeteria;
• Introduce them to colleagues in other departments;
• Have coffee together in the morning;
• Find out how they are feeling after their first few days at AGF.

These simple gestures can make all the difference for a new employee.

El recibimiento y la integración… ¡un asunto de todos!

¿Sabía usted que todos tenemos una función durante el recibimiento e integración de un empleado nuevo?

Comenzar un empleo en una empresa nueva es intimidante para todo el mundo. Que el  empleado nuevo sea un recién titulado o un directivo, el cambio siempre causa un poco de miedo.

No deseamos causarle presión al empleado nuevo antes de que comience y una sonrisa amistosa es la primera cosa que puede ayudarlo a sentirse más cómodo.

Cuando participamos en la integración de nuestros colegas, no solamente les ayuda a tener más autonomía, sino que también contribuye a los objetivos siguientes:

• Favorece la integración social;
• Le ayuda al empleado a crear un sentimiento de pertenencia;
• Demuestra todo el apoyo que la empresa le ofrece para facilitar su adaptación.

¿Qué hacer para ayudar a un colega a integrarse bien?

• Organice un almuerzo de equipo;
• Invite al colega a almorzar con usted a la cafetería;
• Preséntele colegas de otros departamentos;
• Propóngale un café en la mañana;
• Pregúntele su opinión sobre su experiencia en AGF durante los primeros días.

Los pequeños gestos simples pueden hacer toda la diferencia para un empleado nuevo.
